The Best Pilates Classes in London

The Best Pilates Classes in London

What are the best Pilates classes in London?
We believe that the best Pilates classes in London should offer superior quality, individualised attention and price. Our business model is based on small, intimate, attention to detail classes.

Quality instruction
This means that your instructor should be educated, qualified and certified in Pilates, and have experience. Having said this, many Pilates studios in London offer Pilates classes, but their instructors are not necessarily qualified in Pilates. Yes, you read correctly. Some “Pilates” studios train their instructors in-house on a crash course and teach them a few circuit-type exercises on the equipment. The exercises are usually not found in the Pilates repertoire and you will be lead to believe that you are learning Pilates. Not only you will be missing out on the benefits of Pilates, but f you then go to a Pilates class anywhere else, you will be lost.

Cardio Pilates

Cardio Pilates

Can Pilates be cardio based?
Yes, but only if it’s performed dynamically, like our dynamic class on the Cardio-Tramp® Rebounder that is attached to the Pilates Reformer Apparatus®.
We offer cardio Pilates in a crazy fun class called Cardio Tramp. This is an interval training class on the reformer featuring the STOTT PILATES® jumpboard accessory. This class is Pilates-Infused®, but the focus is on athletic performance and conditioning. You will jump for intervals  of 4-5 minutes, mixed with intervals of upper body strengthening exercises on the reformer.

Pilates for persistent low back pain
Low back pain is a common problem, it affects around 1/3 of the adult UK population every year. Approximately 20% of people with low back pain (that is, 1 in 15 of the population) will consult their GP about it.
Pilates exercise can make a difference in low back pain management as it can improve spinal stability and joint mobility, thus, reducing stresses on the spinal joints. Mobilising the spinal restrictions  and strengthening the instability is the goal of our exercises.
