What is a reformer?

Core Kensington features the highest quality STOTT PILATES® equipment on the market. Created by Joseph Pilates, the Pilates reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it called the carriage, which rolls back and forth on wheels within the frame and works with spring tension resistance.

What do I need to bring for my Pilates classes?

Full, toe covering socks are required for any reformer equipment and barre class. Footwear should be removed  before entry to the studio area. Members must not walk around the studio barefoot in the interest of hygiene and safety.

Non-grip socks can be purchased at studio for £8.

Members are requested to wear a form of dress appropriate to the practice of Pilates classes and Core Kensington recommends that Members wear stretch pants or shorts and a T-shirt or sports top for sessions. As a courtesy for other members please wipe down your mat or equipment after any group classes. Towels and complimentary filtered water are provided for the comfort of our members at the studio. Bath towels are available at no charge should you wish to shower after class. 500ml Evian water is available for purchase (room temperature and cold available).

Is there parking close to the studio?
Yes, Street parking either across the street or just on the first corner down with metered parking just next to us. You can also use your Westminster Parking permit. If you have a Kensington & Chelsea permit, you can park only a few blocks away from our studio.  Alternatively, you can also park at Waitrose, just 3 minutes walk but will need to buy something there. 

What times are you open?
Opening times vary depending on timetable
Mondays-Thursdays: 6:30am-8:30pm
Fridays: 6:30am-5:00pm
Saturdays: 9:00am-3:00pm
Sundays: 9:00am-2:30pm
For after-hour trainings we will strive to accommodate any request.

Am I allowed my phone on in Pilates classes?
No, we kindly request that you please turn your phones off and leave them in your handbag so as not to disturb the class

What do I need to bring to class?
Just yourself and socks! Pick up a towel as you pass by the reception area. Filtered cold water is available in the studio or  500ml Evian bottled water is available for purchase if you are participating in a class at £1.

What do I need to bring to a personal training session?
Just yourself and socks. We provide complimentary cold and room temperature filtered water and Evian bottled water & towels for Personal training sessions. 

I can’t make it to my session, is it ok to cancel?
We understand that at times you may need to cancel but please note that personal training sessions and group classes cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the time booked will still be charged.

Do I have to pay a membership fee?
No membership. We work on a pay as you go system, what you use is what you pay for.

Can I bring a friend?
Yes of course, but if they are a complete beginner they will need to book our Essential Repertoire classes first. We also recommend that  intro complete beginners sign up for our Free intro session first. Please see our timetable. A friend can register on the booking system and sign up for a class online or on our app. Alternatively, please ring us or email us to ensure a place in class for your guest. Payment can be made at time of arrival.

Can I do Pilates when I’m pregnant?
Yes you can. Pilates for pregnancy is a safe and fun form of exercising during your pregnancy. It will help you strengthen your core muscles and connecting with your pelvic floor. Be aware that modifications will need to be made during this time.  We offer a pre/post natal class once per week. Alternatively you can book a personal training sessions, one-on-one. If there is enough demand we will schedule another Pilates for pregnancy class on our timetable.  Please check with your doctor before booking that you are clear to do Pilates.

Do you have a sitting area?
Yes. We have a reception area and sitting area. We also have a ladies and gents dressing room where you can leave your shoes and hang up your jacket. You are welcome to sit upstairs in the sitting area or come in and sit in the studio after removing your shoes. We also have a shower, offer towels, and in the ladies changing area there is a hair blow drier and hair straightening iron.

What is the best class for me?
Please take a look at our Pilates class descriptions, there is something for everyone. If you are a complete beginner and have never done Pilates, or are not familiar with Stott Pilates, we recommend that you sign up for our FREE intro to Pilates. This class is scheduled on request only.



Can I buy a gift certificate for a friend?
Yes you can purchase gift certificates all year round. Please ask on of our trainers for more details.

Do you have any special offers?
YES. We run special offers throughout the year so please check our website or ask one of our trainers for details.

What are your terms and conditions?

Terms and conditions:

A 24-hour advance cancellation period applies to all sessions (group classes or personal trainings) for any cancellation, rescheduled or no show. No exceptions (including unlimited package bookings)

  • * Unlimited package starts on the day of purchase and will automatically end after one calendar month. Limited time offer. Can not be combined with other discounts or discount codes. Normal terms and conditions for studio use applies. No show/late cancel charged at normal rate
  • Half price first group class @ £15 expires 14 days from purchase. Only one per person.
  • Half price first personal training session @ £45 expires 14 days from purchase. Not combined with any other offer.
  • Any single session expires 1 month from purchase
  • 5 x group class/personal training block expires 3 months from purchase
  • 10 x group class/personal training block expires 6 months from purchase
