Solid Foundations! Learn the technique properly in this essential Pilates Classical Repertoire class, but be prepared to workout. This is not an easy class nor an orientation class, but a true workout through the essential Pilates repertoire. Please note that this is NOT a dynamic reformer class.
This class is recommended if:
- you have never done Pilates exercise before, its been a long time, or you do not know the basic classical Pilates repertoire.
- you have only done dynamic Pilates before (no matter how advanced or how many years you’ve been practicing “boot camp” style dynamic Pilates). You will need to learn the proper classical exercises before you progress to the intermediate classical level.
- if you are not familiar with the classical STOTT PILATES® essential repertoire and method. See our Five basic principles.
This class will give you a strong base so that you can progress to the more complicated, more choreographed intermediate exercises. We will cover the basic principles more in depth and teach you the preparations for the more advanced exercises of the classical repertoire. Get to know the basic repertoire and principles before you sign up for the intermediate level classes.
Please note that this class is completely different from Dynamic Reformer classes. This is a classical Pilates based class.

The Classical Pilates intermediate reformer repertoire is taught in this class. Although you may be very advanced at bootcamp Dynamic style Pilates, please note that this classical pilates class it is very different to a”boot camp”style class. Therefore, we recommend that you are familiar with the essential classical Pilates repertoire before signing into this class. This class will flow faster and cover the intermediate repertoire, and the instructor will not be able to stop to teach the basic repertoire. Therefore, we strongly suggest that participants possess a solid foundation of the STOTT PILATES® Five basic principles before signing up for the intermediate level classes. This class will challenge any Pilates enthusiast and it is powered by the most versatile and innovative MERRITHEW™ Pilates reformer equipment.

It will be advanced and cover the intermediate/advanced Pilates classical repertoire. Our instructors will not have time to stop to teach the essential repertoire in this class.
The Intermediate/Advanced reformer is for those Pilates enthusiasts with a minimum of 10 intermediate reformer classes under their belts and ready for more challenging advanced, complicated classical reformer exercises, whilst also perfecting their Pilates technique. Our instructors will lead you through a complete body workout with more challenging, advanced reformer exercises that will challenge the most advanced client neuromuscular, and physically. You must be confident with the classical repertoire and know the STOTT PILATES® basic principles to join, otherwise you might feel left behind.

Cardio Tramp (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CLASS)
CardioTramp is the ultimate interval training power-cardio class using the latest STOTT PILATES® jump board accessory. This is a jump board interval class that accelerates your cardiovascular fitness and endurance with a Pilates base. This class is for the endorphin-addicted. Please note that this class is not a classical Pilates class, but a conditioning class inspired in Pilates, using the Stott Pilates® basic principles
Post Natal Pilates Reformer BRING YOUR BABY!
This class is designed for those who have just been cleared for Pilates exercise from their GP. We will take carefully through safe exercises that help reconnect the core musculature without jeopardising your ligaments, especially during the breastfeeding months. The goal is to build up your strength from the inside out, retraining your deep stabilising muscles, pelvic floor and working our way up to your previous or better strength.
Pilates exercise offers an excellent way to return to exercise. Pilates exercise focus is on strengthening your body SAFELY. The emphasis is on core stability and peripheral mobility. Connect back with your pelvic floor muscles. Reconnect the deep abdominal muscles to help you to return to a more stable limbo-pelvic region.
Pilates for Pregnancy Second Trimester+
If you are clear by your GP, Pilates for pregnancy at Core Kensington is designed for those ante natal clients who wish to stay in shape and exercise safely during pregnancy and return to exercise after delivery. We add many modifications done to suit your specific needs to help you stay safe during pregnancy and afterwards while your are breastfeeding. We can keep shorter levers, take breaks more often, and keep your exertion levels manageable and you will still get a great workout while you’re pregnant. The aim is to help you maintain and improve core strength while pregnant which may help reduce lower back pain, maintain and improve pelvic floor tone. Also, improve your back mobility, Arm and shoulder strength, which is important after delivery when you need to breastfeed and carry your baby for long periods.

Pilates for Functional Ageing Seasonal Class
“You are only as old as your spine is” Joseph Pilates. The Pilates classical repertoire is modified in this class to suit older participants’ needs. The instructor will provide adaptations for issues such as low bone density, wrist problems, knee and hip restrictions and if needed, slower transitions from one exercise to the next. The goal is to deliver a class that will improve joint spinal and peripheral mobility, strength, balance, coordination and muscular flexibility. This will be achieved through the essential and intermediate Pilates classical repertoire, whilst keeping in mind the STOTT PILATES® five basic principles. Also, in an effort to increase bone density, own body weight exercises can be modified on the Pilates reformer for the ageing population. You are never too late to move better. Teen Reformer is a fun and interactive class for teenagers only. This class is offered on seasonal basis only and on demand.
By integrating the classical Pilates repertoire alongside body conditioning and pumping music, your child will be hooked! This class will help improve any teens’ sports performance and overall wellness whilst helping protect against injury and improving posture.
