Otherwise, we become stiff, not being able to perform functional activities, such as gardening, playing golf, or not moving with ease. Pilates offers a full body strengthening workout without placing too much stresses in your joints and without adding muscle bulk. Keep your spine moving and improve your core strength. Remember, “You are only as old and your spine is” Joseph Pilates. Pilates is a unique method that promotes mindful movement. Move through the exercises with precise control without holding positions or working against a timer. Your body will feel amazing after just a couple of sessions.

We don’t offer the ever-popular dynamic Pilates. Our classes are based in the classical Pilates repertoire with a contemporary approach. This means that the repertoire is adaptable to all ages, body types and abilities. We are not here to make you sweat, although you may well sweat, once you reach the intermediate levels. Our goal is to strengthen your body in a way you can only achieve with the classical repertoire. You can improve your core strength from the inside out, improve your posture, become aware of your movement and movement quality. Our technique will strengthen your core muscles and shoulder stabilisers and teach you how to avoid neck and shoulder tension as you workout. All the joints in your body will feel stronger as you strengthen the stabilisers first, without weights with our specialised Pilates equipment. Our method is based on modern principles in sports science and rehabilitation. Your body will feel the difference immediately.

Our classes are appropriate for people of all ages. We can modify exercises for those with back pain, back injuries, wrist injuries, and other injuries.
